The Sims have been a guilty pleasure of mine since I first played Sims: Makin’ Magic years and years ago. I have a bad habit of playing obsessively for a week and then not touching it for several months, and repeat. When Sims4 came out I was beyond excited. When I actually got it, I was underwhelmed. While the graphics and personalities may have been enhanced, the maps were smaller and the controls were different. I won’t lie, I went back to Sims3 after buying Sims4. However, Brittpinkiesims’ collection of Harry Potter mods may be one of my favorite things. You do have to know how to mod (or be willing to learn) to make it all work, but it is definitely a blast.
This mod collection was enough to bring me back to Sims4 for another try. Obviously the best thing about The Sims is that you can make it totally your own, so I don’t have to tell you how amazing it is to take something as awesome as Harry Potter and put your own spin on it. For instance: I wanted a troll in the dungeon a la Sorcerer’s Stone. Done. I made a Sim as troll-like as I could manage and locked him in a dungeon. So go forth and live out all your wizarding fantasies!
